We are pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Shayna Sarosiek to the Bing Center for Waldenstrom's Macroglobulinemia.
Prior to joining the Bing Center, Dr. Sarosiek completed her Internal Medicine residency, as well as her Amyloidosis and Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at Boston University Medical Center. After completing her training she remained as a faculty member at Boston University for 4 years. During that time she worked as a hematologist treating patients with benign and malignant hematologic issues, such as monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS), lymphoma, WM, and multiple myeloma. She focused the majority of her research efforts on plasma cell disorders, including MGUS, multiple myeloma and amyloidosis. She also actively participated in the care of patients at the Boston University Amyloidosis Center and has published many original research articles in that field. She is looking forward to using the expertise she gained at that center to improve the care of patients with WM and AL amyloidosis.
In the Bing Center Dr. Sarosiek will be joining Dr. Jorge Castillo in the clinic to see patients and help care for the constantly increasing number of Waldenstrom patients at our center. She will also be actively involved in clinical research and will focus her research efforts on the use of immunotherapies and antibody treatments in WM, as well as developing therapies and caring for those patients who have both WM and AL amyloidosis.
Please join us in welcoming Dr. Sarosiek to the Bing Center!
