On the final evening of the 2nd International Workshop on WM, delegates attended the closing ceremonies which were held at the Museum of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens which is the site of the old medical school of the University of Athens, now a museum with rare medical artifacts located at the base of the ancient Acropolis. Dr. Treon explains the significance of the ceremonial "Olympic Torches" which the delegates received from Drs. Robert Kyle (Mayo clinic) and Gerasimos Pangalis (University of Athens). After the delegates received their "Olympic Torch", Mr. Robert Manning, a volunteer at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and a torchbearer of the "Olympic Flame" for the 2002 Winter Olympic Games held in Salt Lake City, UT, disseminated the flame to the delegates.
