Periodically, we will "shine the spotlight" on a topic of special interest to our patients, cargivers, or researchers. Today's topic is the increasing importance of genetics and the role it plays in the research of this disease. We are pleased to present a lecture given by Dr. Steven Treon (Director of the Bing Center for Waldenstrom's) at the IWMF Patient Education Forum, which was held June 24-26, 2011 in Minneapolis, MN. The introduction is given by Ronald Yee (Board of Directors, IWMF). This lecture may also be found in our Media Gallery, titled Advances in Genetics and Treatment of Waldenstrom's Macroglobulinemia. You may also visit the IWMF website which contains a wealth of information regarding patient support for Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia.
