Dr. Edward Laane has completed his 3 events in the 2020 B.A.A. Virtual #finishSTRONG Challenge! His official times for the 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon are listed below.

Dr. Laane has been long-time friend to the Bing Center for Waldenstrom's Macroglobulinemia. This year has been especially challenging, for the medical personnel but much more for the patients, who had to fight against their disease and also against COVID19 coronavirus. Many events, including official runnings has been cancelled or postponed due to safeguard measures. However, with efficient and safe vaccines there is a light for the future. Dr. Laane regrets that he couldn't visit the Bing Center in person in 2020 but hopes to be back in 2021. This year Dr. Laane is taking part in the virtual event B.A.A. #finishStrong Challenge and with his runs would like to support the Bing Center and Dr. Steven Treon's group for the outstanding work and care for patients with Waldenstrom's Macroglobulinemia. Dr. Laane has run 5K and 10K distances as part of the #finish Strong Challenge and will run a Half-Marathon distance 13.1 miles on Wednesday, January 30th in Kuressaare, Saaremaa, Estonia. Dr. Laane would like to thank all supporters of his run and wishes a better healthier year 2021 for the Bing Center staff and patients.
