A Waldenstrom’s macroglobulinemia Support Group meeting will be held on March 3, 2007 in Sarasota, Florida. The event is from 2 to 5pm at the Hampton Inn, 5995 Cattleridge Blvd, Sarasota, FL 34232. Dr Treon will be the guest speaker who will spend an hour educating and updating the group on Waldenstrom’s Macroglobulinemia- from current treatments to genetic analysis. Following, there will be an hour question & answer period with him. Along with Dr Treon, Dr Melissa Alsina of the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa Florida will attend the meeting. She plays an active part of the Hematologic Malignancies program at the Moffitt Cancer Center.
