The 48th ASH annual meeting and exposition was held at the Orange County Convention Center on December 9-12, 2006, Orlando, Florida. The mission of the American Society of Hematology (ASH) is to further the understanding, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disorders affecting the blood, bone marrow, and the immunologic, hemostatic and vascular systems, by promoting research, clinical care, education, training, and advocacy in hematology and on an international level. The Bing Center for Waldenstrom’s Macroglobulinemia was honored and presented an oral session on “IgA and IgG Hypogammaglobulinemia associated with mutations in the APRIL/BLYS receptor TACI in Waldenstrom’s Macroglobulinemia” as well as ten (10) poster presentations.
