The 10Th International Myeloma Workshop was held April 10-14, 2005 in Sydney Australia. Dr Treon was invited to speak on a presentation based on work on WM to an international crowd of myeloma clinicians and scientists. The presentation turned out numerous questions and strengthened ties between WM knowledge and myeloma experts. Added to this meeting, Dr Steven Treon was awarded a prestigious award. The Robert Kyle award was given in honor of his extreme knowledge, highly advanced progress and strong achievements in WM. Chris Patterson, Robert Kyle, and Steve Treon at the 10Th International Myeloma Workshop Parallel to the workshop, the International Waldenstrom's Macroglobulinemia Foundation's educational day meeting was held on Sunday, April 10th, 2005 in Sydney, Australia. 75-100 patients, friends and family, clinicians, IWMF staff and its Australian support group, the “Wmozzies” attended to hear presentations of WM by three WM experts, Drs. Robert Kyle, Morie Gertz and Steven Treon. A comprehensive and informative review program of WM was presented, giving our WM attendees a thorough outlook of WM and its direction for the coming 2005 year.
